Just today. I discovered that Rudy had passed away. I am saddened by this. Ernie used to run with the guys, including Rudy, some 20 years ago. I can just imagine that now, they’re in Heaven and talking about how fast or long they ran at Al Lopez Park. My sincere condolences to you, Patti, Stephanie and Kathryn and all the Orta family. 🙏🏻✝️

My heart is truly saddened today as I heard of Rudy’s passing. He was very quick witted and had a light-hearted playful sense of humor. But underneath that exterior there was wisdom. Eons ago, when I was an impressionable teen, Rudy provided sage advice that forever changed the direction of my life….I still keep his words as one of my core values. Rudy, I Am Forever Grateful for having you be a part of my life, although it was only for a brief time. You will be missed and thought of fondly!
