Onelio Pazos Sr's Obituary
Onelio "Pops" Pazos, 77, passed away in Key West, Florida on September 27, 2021. He was born there on October 10, 1943 and was raised as a "True Conch."
As a young man he served in the U.S. Army. After unknowingly meeting her a few years earlier, he married the love of his life, Kathy in 1976. They were together for 48 years.
Onelio and Kathy operated several businesses throughout the years including Night Moves, and most notably, Bob's Meat Market. He enjoyed the customers who shopped there, especially the ones who became friends. He also worked as a project manager for Richard Foglesong on jobs that took him around the country.
Both he and his big brother Ofie (who gave him the nickname "Baby Brother") never met a stranger. They left everyone they saw with a smile! He was well known for his five-minute (or longer!) voice mails, his corny jokes, and his infectious laugh!
Onelio had a big heart and loved all animals, especially the neighborhood dogs, who loved him too! He was generous to a fault and would help anybody that asked in any way he could. He had many, many friends throughout his life, but his family was most important to him.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Neyo and David, his brothers Ofie and Tony. He also has his two little poodles, Niki and Tiki waiting for him at the "Rainbow Bridge."
He is survived by his wife Kathy; his sisters-in-law Melissa Chudy, Anita Nunez, and Rose Pazos; his nieces and nephews Chelsea (Travis) Myers, Robert (Antonio) Chudy; Samantha (Ed) Locker, T.J. Nunez and Mark (Mary) Pazos, Lee (Joan) Pazo; and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 9, from 12:00-2:00 pm, with the service beginning at 2:00 pm at Boza & Roel Funeral Home.
