Love you pops
Although I have known Onelio for a relatively short period of time - perhaps 4 years - he has made a profound impact on my life and the lives of my entire family. I can share this one memory of the type of person he was.
I just landed a job at Humana which was in St. Pete. Traing started sharp every day at 8AM.
While I was training my car broke down. I had no way to get to traing and no money to get my car fixed. I was in a big jam.
Onelio offered to drive me from Tampa to St Pete every day or at least until I could fixed.
And he did. Faithfully he would pick me up like 6:30 or 7ish every day. And then turn around at 4 or 5PM drive to St Pete and pick me up.
He also offered to loan me the cash to have my front axel replaced. We did this for 1 full week until we got my car fixed.
I ask myself til this day: who would do this? I wasn't family and I knew Onelio a relatively short peroid of time compared to the old-timers he hung out with. Well Onelio did.
I paid him back of course when I said I would.
Because of selfless and kind act Onelion helped me make it through training and keep my job.
May the good Lord Jesus look upon this kind act and be merciful to be friend Onelio Pazos.

As neighbors, we enjoyed our conversations with him and he got together with Agustin, joking galore.
When we met, Onelio was surprised to find out that I also had family members that were born and raised in Key West. And that my great great grandmother's maiden name was Pazos and she married into the Valdez family and then moved to Tampa. Onelio knew a lot o people named Valdez's in Key West and Tampa.
He loved Key West and we believe we was at peace going and all was well with his soul.
