Tia Mirta, you are kindness and warmth, laughter and safety and above all else LOVE. My random memories with you are... Pot on the stove with food, Aprons so many aprons, Wise Potato chips, bread cut out with metal cookie cutters, biscuit empanadas on Sunday nights, runny scrambled eggs, making toast in the 4 slot toaster. The drawer in the hutch with toys and trinkets, swimming, climbing and sitting on your front yard tree. Sleep overs with the globe light on. You cleaning Tirin's trake... Caring for Tirin and bickering with love back and forth. "Laga", grocery shopping at different stores for sales with Abuela Gloria, University Mall, JcPenney, buying clothes for Little Louie. You writing Abuela Gloria's checks, beige car, maroon car and slight memory of blue car... I think a station wagon? Mermaids at Weeki Wachee and pearls(which I still have) Sonny's BBQ, Orlando Baseball games to see Little Louie play ball, McDonald's Happy Meals and the cookies, freezer stocked with food and popsicles, go and help yourselves, crafts and knitting, 1st computer with coding, Metal swings in the Sunshine. Meatballs, salad spaghetti, Cuban bread, cinnamon dental floss kept in a gallon sized zip lock bag, Aqua Net, no bra.. a possible feminist in disguise? Sooo many opinions, Laughter and jokes hours talking and just being around you. Safety, warmth, hugs, kisses and love. Family get together's The ding of the grandfather clock... You will forever be in my heart and a part of my life and your legacy lives in all of us still here in physical form. I love you and so does everyone else here....until we meet again.
I love you, Tati
We will always remember her cooking, love of family, love of baseball and her own folding chair she always carried with her. She always had a smile and something nice to say to everyone. She is now resting and is reunited with her family. Bless her and the family.

Dear Louie, Kenny and the Martinez Grandchildren and Daughters in law,
Tia Mirta as I called her was the most loving, kind and happy person I ever knew. Always with a word of wisdom to share. She loved her bolita stories. She introduced me to embroidery and ceramics. She was always there when I needed her. I miss her dearly, you must know family was always first in her mind. Louie Jr with his baseball. Zoie, Taylor, Trey and Gaby, Nana Loved you with her whole being. She was your first care takers and loved doing that. My daughter Tatiana says whatever Tia cooked was delicious! I know she will be missed by all. Please accept my sincere condolences.
Love Colleen
