One Christmas Eve , I was invited into Jose’s Home for a family Dinner.
As usual, Jose was quietly yet politely reserved during the prep and dinner.
After gift opening, we all sat down to watch Mr Bean and
it was like a completely different person emerged-he was laughing out loud so whole-heartedly.
It was obvious over the course of time of knowing him, that he was so proud of his family and loved his dogs. My sympathies to all who
were in his life.

Lighting a candle in honor of a beloved father , Jose Gibert. He leaves a wonderful legacy and beautiful family that I am sure brought him endless joy! I never met him but loved reading about his life and personal love for animals.Take comfort in all the wonderful memories and he is smiling down from heaven.

Thank you for being such a wonderful Abuelo to me and all of your grandchildren and great grandchildren. I will cherish the memories we made from childhood to today. You cared deeply for your family and friends and made sure we knew it. Last night at work they were making tostones and of course I thought of you. I’m glad I got to visit Cuba and see where you lived. Like Kristin said, I loved your laugh and the memories of watching Mr. Bean. I will also always remember how you wanted to help those less fortunate, whether bringing food to homeless or working with children. You set a great example for us and we will hold on to these memories forever. I hope we meet again one day. Love you forever, Abuelo.
I was deeply saddened to hear about your father’s passing. I had the privilege of working with you for many years, and it was always clear to me that you inherited the very best qualities a person can have — kindness, integrity, respect for others, and strength of character.
You often spoke about your father with admiration and love, and through those conversations it was easy to understand the profound impact he had on your life and on the person you became. His legacy clearly lives on through you.
