John Alan Asendorf's Obituary
John Alan Asendorf, 66, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. He was born on June 6, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas, to John and Josephine Asendorf, and grew up in Windermere, Florida.
Alan was married to Aracelis (Ari) Gonzalez in 1979. They spent four beautiful decades together.
Few things brought Alan more joy than passing the time with friends and family in his backyard, tending to his beloved bromeliads, and practicing nature macrophotography.
Alan and Ari moved to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1979, where Alan completed law school at Boston University. They spent several years in Dallas, Texas, before moving to Tampa, Florida, where they have lived since 1987. Alan was an attorney at Trenam Law for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Aracelis Gonzalez Asendorf; his children Alexa Mariel Asendorf and Cord Michael Asendorf; his son-in-law, Eric Michael Sellers; his siblings, John David Asendorf and Jan Asendorf; and an extended family of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home at 4730 N. Armenia Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33603. A service celebrating Alan’s life will begin at 1:00 pm.
