Mr. George Ramos' Obituary
RAMOS, George, 87, went home to the Lord April 17, 2015—just three days shy of his eighty-eighth birthday. A native of West Tampa, George served his country in WWII in three different branches of the military, followed by decades of service to his community as a coach and teacher. He touched the lives of many, positively impacting multiple generations. From the poker table to the kitchen, and from the classroom to the field, his lessons will forever be in our hearts. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Proceeded in death by his son, George, and wife, Daisy. Survived by his three children Karen Ramos (Meg), Kathy Alvarez (Alan) and Jerry Ramos (Marti); Seven grandchildren: Michelle Gonzalez-Volkman (James), George Ramos, Tara and Amanda Reynolds, Alan, Robert (Stephanie) and Kristina Alvarez; five great-grandchildren: Taylor, Connor, Dylan, Gray and Selah; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 from 6P.M.-8P.M. at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa. Service delivered by Pastor Ken Whitten at 7 PM. Please come and celebrate this great man's wonderful life and witness the legacy he leaves behind.
