I was a student of Mr. Wadley's when I attended Robinson High School in the 1960's, then we became colleagues when I began teaching there in the early 1970's. As an administrator in the 1980's and 1990's, Mr. Wadley was the department chair in mathematics, and I had the honor to work closely with him, and it was during that time that I really got to know him as a very kind and brilliant man. I had tremendous respect for him as an educator, but my fondest memories speak to this gentleman who always made decisions that were right for students. I often sought his advice in the math content area when I was the principal, and he always provided a keen insight to curriculum reform and was always willing to take up a challenge and teach new courses. He once said, "Yes, this is a course that would add a new dimension to the department, and I will be very happy to teach it!" I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and all those who loved him. He undoubtedly made a difference in the lives of countless young people he taught as well as those with whom he worked. I know he made a difference in my life. May you rest in peace, Mr. Wadley!
