Mr. Eugene Bartolotti's Obituary
BARTOLOTTI, Eugene "Gene", 87, of Tampa passed away early Easter Sunday morning, April 12, 2009. He was born May 17, 1921 in Tampa to Sicilian immigrants Giuseppe Bartolotti and Grazia Coniglio Bartolotti. Gene graduated Hillsborough High School in the class of 1941. Survivors include his wife and soulmate of 65 years, Grace Martinez Bartolotti, daughter, Sandra Zale and husband Alan, son, Eugene "Lennie" Bartolotti and wife Annie, son, Richard "Rick" Bartolotti and wife Maria, daughter, Katie "Tink" Bartolotti, 2 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 2 adopted grandsons, Josue and Matthew Moran, 2 great grandchildren, Ricky Jones and Amanda Miles (the joy of his life), sister, Violet Guarisco and husband Nuncy, brother, Edward L. Bartolotti and wife Helen , numerous beloved nieces, nephews and godchildren. Mr. Bartolotti was the past owner of Gene's Grocery Store and Tropical Market in Tampa. He was the owner and operator of the East Side Dairy, Inc. for over 55 years, served as president of the Tampa Independent Dairy Farmers Association, a member of the Florida Farm Bureau and the Federal Land Bank. Mr. Bartolotti was a founding member of the Hillsborough Co. Sheriff's Posse, life member of the National Rifle Association as well as an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was also a charter member of the Sons Of Italy. "He lived well and died well". The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2009, from 6 PM to 7:30PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday at 7:30PM at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mr. Bartolotti's memory may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, FL 33609. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mr. Bartolotti's caregiver Anita Henderson for all her loving care.
