Carmen A. Cacciatore's Obituary
Carmen Cacciatore, age 87, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born in Tampa on August 2, 1937 to Julio and Providence Alvarez. She graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelors’ degree in Education and later went on to complete a Master’s degree. While at the University of Tampa, she met and married Joseph Cacciatore, her husband of almost 60 years. They had 2 children Joseph Jr. and Michael.
She taught the elementary grades for the Hillsborough County School System for more than 40 years.
Carmen took special joy in spending time with her grandchildren, going to the beach, and going to the movies. Carmen also had fond memories of her lunch and shopping days with her cousins and friends.
Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her father Julio, her mother Providence, and her brother Jimmy. Carmen is survived by her brother Julio (Chris), son Joseph Jr. (Linda), son Michael (Andrea), grandson Jason, granddaughters Pamela and Lexi and several nieces and nephews. They will never forget the love she brought into their lives.
Funeral services will be Thursday October 24th at Boza & Roel Funeral Home starting at 11am. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Puleo, Ross Puleo, Vincent Tuzzolino, Joseph Alvarez, Paul Alvarez, Julio Zamora, as well as honorary pallbearers Jason Cacciatore and Anthony Puleo.
