I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I knew she was ill. JC and Michael had just been to my parents funerals the year prior. I remember going to their house as a little girl and being absolutely amazed with the stairs and upper room. Her husband was my dad's cousin. I also remember Nica, his grandmother and sister to "my" grandmother, who lived next to them. My, our lives have flown by. Back when Christmases were special and family got together. My time with Carmen as a fellow teacher at Northwest Elementary are cherished memories! A wonderful educator loved by so many. She was so proud of all of her family members and spoke of them all of the time. May your cherished memories of her carry you through this difficult time. I also loved Carmen.
