My family grew up just down the street from Armando and his family. My dad, Raul Villamia, who’s also with the Lord, played baseball with Armando, back in the day🙏🏽
Daddy was a pitcher. He had great respect and admiration for Armando.
I remember my daddy and Armando in their golden years, such as at my dad’s 90th birthday, fondly quibbling and egging each other on about who was the best baseball player😂.
In my mind’s eye I can see Armando entering Heaven with an honor guard of Baseball greats, like in the movie “Field of Dreams”, with my dad front and center to shake his hand, give him a hug and help welcome Armando to his eternal “Home Plate”.
