Ziomara M. Garcia's Obituary
GARCIA, Ziomara M., 92 of Tampa, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. She was born in Key West on March 1, 1922, but resided in Tampa for much of her life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Joe Garcia; her parents Henry and Ophelia Cortez and brother Mandi Cortez. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Carl B. Smith Insurance Company for many years. She was dedicated to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a terrific cook, enjoyed country music, dancing, attending her children's and grandchildren's activities, or simply spending time with them. Cherished by her family, she is survived by her sons, Joe Garcia (Cassie) of Maryland, Dennis Garcia (Norma) of Del Rey Beach, FL and Manny Garcia (Patty) of Tampa. Also surviving her is her brother George Cortez (Isabel); Grandchildren, Cherie Harding (Doug), Kathleen Kletter (Dan), Shannon Chase (John), Anita Dewsnat, Dennis Garcia Jr. (Amy), Jason Garcia (Tracie), Alyson Zamore (Rob) and Jessica Garcia-Fink (Jared). She also leaves her 25 loving great grandchildren. In her later years she was watched over with love and caring attention by son Manny and wife Patty. Although she is no longer with us, she will always live in our memories and hearts. The family will receive relatives and friends for Visitation Sunday, July 6 between 4 and 6 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa. Entombment services will be Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1 PM at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
