Special message:
A few words from the heart for an amazing woman...from your husband.
Yvonne was a fighter with a positive outlook on life who loved her children unconditionally and admired their accomplishments, resilience and fortitude in coping with adversity. She was an optimist who enjoyed the company of family and friends, who earnestly reciprocated their affection. We all loved her so very much because of her sincere honesty and unpretentious nature. Yvonne was true to herself without compromise.
Yvonne was candid, but tactful. She spoke from her heart with sincerity, loved life and brought joy to those that came to love her. She was funny, intelligent, spiritual and a driving force in all our lives.
Yvonne was a role model, friend and mentor that helped us navigate life's unexpected bumps in the road. She was steadfast on her perspective on life, which remained a comforting constant throughout our marriage. I've been fortunate to have dearly loved and share a wonderful life with a uniquely talented, charming and independent,
spirited woman.
Yvonne, like her birthstones Alexandrite and Pearl, was a rare and gifted individual with a purity of heart. A remarkable charming and
beautiful lady whom, as the classic song goes, was truly "unforgettable in every way and forevermore" that's how she'll stay. Love, Mike
Dear Ma, we are missing you! Your memory will live on each day, especially when I am cooking in the kitchen. You were always a foodie and loved sharing meals with our family. There were lots of memories created around a dinner table. You were an amazing role model for what a “mom” should be and I raised my girls as you raised me. Keep on milking a duck. Love always, Christina
Well mom what can I say. I know I was the good one, my sisters not so much. You liked to use the middle finger often and I will take on the burden of continuing that tradition. I know all the Spanish cuss words and say "coño" daily. I like to be a smartass but that quality really came from my husband so don't think you taught me that. Too much? Ok, just trying to make you and others laugh. Know this: you were a wonderful mother and my "Juking buddy". I will miss you always, and know that you will live on for each of us is a part of you. I love you. Val
Ma, I was your baby. And although you already had my sisters, you always said you were ready to have kids when you had me. I never knew what you meant by that until I had Madi. You truly were my best friend and were always there for me. My days will not be the same with you gone, but I will keep your memory alive forever. I love you, Yvette
My Abuela was never someone to underestimate, she was indescribably beautiful in every form, the most independent woman to ever look up to, and even with a sharp mind and tongue she was always loving.
She showed me happiness in the simplest yet gratifying ways and to always put your best foot forward in any situation. She was always smiling, always laughing, always on an adventure and family was the main reason for such joy in her life. It's always been love with her and I use that within myself now as I grow. I'm happy to have had you as my Abuela, my heart is full and I know with any traveling I do, you'll always be by my side hand in hand because that's what jukin' buddies are for. Love, Yanna Mañana
