William "Willie" Martinez's Obituary
Martinez, William "Willie", 76 of Tampa, FL passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2017 after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by his beloved family and friends. He was the son of the late Jesus and Jennie (Marrero) Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Gail Sprague Martinez and his beloved children Jimmy Winn, Teresa (Winn) Gonzalez (JR), William Martinez, Jr. (Danielle) and Jennie Martinez Palmer and his two granddaughters, Camden and Carsyn Palmer, who he adored with all his heart. Brother Jerry Martinez (Frances), sisters Mary Ann Lewis (Jack) and Teresa Goan (Danny). Also his 8 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, and several loving cousins. He was predeceased by his nephew, Anthony Valdes. Willie was a real estate developer for over 50 years, as well as owning restaurants, shopping centers, and being an all around smart businessman. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 9, 2017 and the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am to 11 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Willie's name to LifePath Hospice, who was an amazing comfort for his family during Willie's last days.
