Mr William Ray Hill's Obituary
HILL, William Ray, 79, of Tampa joined his beloved wife Shirley and his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Saturday, December 16, 2006. Originally from Kentucky and Alabama, he moved to Tampa in 1959. He served with the U.S. Marines on Guam and in China during WWII and was a retired member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 15. He was an active member of Christ Community Church where he was an usher and a greeter and had been involved with Camp Cherith. He loved watching and recording old movies. He is survived by his sons Daniel Hill and wife Claire of Augusta, GA and Billy Hill of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren, Kirsten Schueler, Aaron Hill, Virginia Grettenberger and Samantha Josselyn. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Christ Community Church, 6202 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to Camp Cherith in care of Christ Community Church.
