Virginia Ruth Zeien's Obituary
Virginia Ruth Zeien passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 74.
Known as Ginger to her family and Ginny to her friends, she was born in NYC, NY June 13,1948. She went to school in Bergenfield, NJ and after graduating high school, moved to Santa Barbara, CA, married and had a son. There she began working at Vandenburg AFB as a secretary during the great space race. Several years later, she moved to Hawaii and remarried where she worked several different jobs but mostly for a Real Estate Developer. In the mid 1980s, she moved to Florida and worked for a Gov’t contractor. After a divorce, she took a position that traveled but eventually resettled in the Tampa area of Florida. She married once again and worked with her new husband prior to them retiring. She loved to knit as a hobby which she learned from her mother. As she moved around to various places in the US, Virginia made many loyal and lasting friendships that continue to this day of which she was very proud.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Mary Russell and is survived by her siblings - Artie, Carole and Robin, by her Son and Daughter in law - Ken and Tina, Grandchildren - Megan and Drew and 3 great grandchildren.
Virginia was faithful to her relationship with God, most recently attending Oakwood Community Church. She was cremated but will have a visitation memorial at Boza & Roel Funeral Home January 28 from 2-5p.
