Virginia had a special place in her heart for kids. She dedicated 30 years to the Hillsborough County Public School System at Mendenhall Elementary, in Special Education Classes. On December 31, 2005, Virginia received an award for Support Personnel of the Year; she was recognized for her hard work and dedication. Throughout her children life Virginia was a beloved active community member in the Mothers Club at Sacred Heart Academy and Jesuit High School. Supporting her husband’s career she also played an active role in the Police Auxiliary Wives Club. Virginia devoted most of her time to her family, church (Scared Heart), and to others. She held a special place in everyone’s heart and had an unforgettable smile and laugh.
Virginia loved to walk every day, whether around her neighborhood to greet familiar faces or along
the beach to catch her tan. She loved to go to the beach and could spend months there at a time.
After retiring with the school system Virginia spent many summers at Sand Key Beach at her favorite resort Landmark Towers. Here is where she was able to relax and just enjoy life.
Special thanks are given to Patricia Martin for taking extra time, attention, and care for her mother. Due to Patty’s nonstop and consistent care, Virginia was able to stay in her home instead of being brought to a facility.
Thank you to all the care givers who have provided exceptional care and to the Ruby Division at Hospice. Everyone provided patience, love, and support. You are all sincerely appreciated and our family is forever grateful.
Funeral arrangements have been made, condolences can be received at the Taylor’s home on June 7, 2015.
