Virginia Dosal's Obituary
Dosal, Virginia Peres, loving mother, devoted wife, and a sweet and giving friend, passed away peacefully in her home on August 8, 2023 at the age of 92. Born July 9, 1931 to José and Eva Peres, she grew up in Ybor City, graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1949, and married Louis Dosal on July 1, 1950. Virginia dedicated her life to the church, serving as an elder, secretary and organist at St. John Presbyterian Church for thirty-five years. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; husband of fifty-two years; three sisters (Eulalia, Aida, and Hilda); three nieces (Irene, Cynthia, and Janice); a grandson (Michael McKaughan); and her companion of nine years, Frank Sanchez. Virginia is survived by her sons Michael (Cindy), Duane (Rhonda), Paul (Lisa) and daughter Darlene Lack (Michael); grandchildren Jessica (Andrew), Andrew (Amy), Lauren (Chris), Lindsey (John), Brooke (Chris), Madison, Louis, and John; great grandchildren Olivia, Aiden, Austin, Lucas, Jack, Sophia, Lily; and many nieces and nephews. She lived for and loved her adoring family and friends and will live on forever in our hearts.
The family will receive friends at St. John Presbyterian Church at noon on Saturday, August 12th, 2023. A celebration of life service begins at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in a brief graveside service at the Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave. In lieu of flowers, Virginia asked for donations to be made to St. John Presbyterian Church, 4120 North MacDill Avenue in Tampa.
