Violet V. Rodriguez's Obituary
Tampa, FL – Violet Verroca Rodriguez, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018. Violet was born at home in Ybor City (Tampa, FL) in 1930. She attended and graduated high school at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Tampa. She married Michael Rodriguez in 1952 and soon thereafter gave birth to their only child – a daughter. Violet joined the U. S. Customs Service in Miami in 1972. In 1982, she transferred to the U. S. Customs office in Tampa, Florida, where she retired in 1997. Violet loved dancing, particularly Swing, Salsa, and the Paso Doble. She was of the Catholic faith. She was very active with the Italian Club in Ybor City, where she contributed as a fund raiser. Violet is survived by her daughter – Juanita R. Andreu and her husband – Reinaldo Andreu; Her Grandchildren – Reinaldo Andreu Jr., Michelle Vasquez and her husband – Juan David Vasquez, and Felicia Andreu Sexton; And her Great-Grandchildren – Anthony, Juan David Jr, and Andreu. Her brother, Joseph E. Fulford Jr. passed away in 2008. Boza & Roel is the funeral home in charge of her arrangements. Violet will be laid to rest at the Italian Club cemetery. A memorial service will be held later.
