Ms. Violet Conte's Obituary
CONTE, Violet Mae, 83, passed away Friday, July 27, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents Carmelo and Luigia Conte; brothers, Joe and Peter; sisters, Theresa, Josephine, Rose, and her niece Karen. She's survived by her brother Carl Conte and wife Margaret of Brandon, and the following nieces and nephew who loved her dearly: Lenora and Joseph Bauer (Kathy & Robert), Barbara & Paul Kramer (John, Judy, & Jim), Carmel Van Hoek (Michael, Jan & Julie), Vincent & Lynn Ciccarello ( Dena & Mark), John C. Ciccarello (Tara & Gina), Carl & Nilla Conte (Michael), Joe & Pam Conte (Kristen & Joleen), Bill & Diane Conte (Chris & Chad), Carol & Mark Bright (Alexa), Tom & Cyndi Conte (Maggie & Tommy), Kathy Conte, and Lisa & Mickey Mortimer (grace). She was born in Tampa, FL; also resided in San Diego, Las Vegas, Miami, Mexico City, Mexico and Clearwater, FL. She attended Jefferson High School on Highland Avenue. She received a bachelor's degree form the University of Tampa and a Master's in Education at Appalachian State in Boone, N. Carolina. For many years she was a faculty member to the West Lab School in Miami, in conjunction with the University of Miami. She retired as the Hillsborough Coordinator for the Specific Learning Disabilities Program after completing 42 years of education in public and private schools. She devoted volunteer services to the Alzheimer Association, American Red Cross, Ybor City State Museum, Jefferson Alumni Association Museum, Retired Educators Association, and L'Unione Italian Club. She was an avid historian for her family and friends. The family will receive friends for Visitation Thursday, August 2, 2007 between 9 and 10 AM with services beginning at 10 AM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, followed by Interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
