Vilma Diane Suarez's Obituary
Vilma Suarez was born on December 30, 1953 in Ybor City at Centro Espanol Hospital on 13th Ave to Homero Robles and Antonia Robles. Throughout her childhood, Vilma was a bright and joyful girl who loved to play with dolls and go shopping with her mom and grandmother. Deeply immersed in the Cuban and Italian Immigrant Community of Ybor City, her parents worked in the Cuban Cigar Factories and the original Italian Joe and Son's Market, among many other Ybor City businesses. Growing up, she lived in the center of Ybor City, at 935 E 11th Street.
Due to Childhood Asthma, she spent a large majority of her childhood in the hospital, at Centro Espanol Hospital on Bayshore Blvd. Her parents would often drive her down Bayshore Blvd with the windows open to get fresh air. Despite her medical struggles, Vilma continued to prosper and graduated high school.
Her first born child, Michael Garcia, was born March 17, 1973, when Vilma was 20 years old. Vilma was a loving mother above all else, and later gave birth to two daughters in her 30s, Michelle Suarez and Christine Suarez. Throughout her lifetime, Vilma was a dedicated mother. She gave all of her love and care 24/7 to her 3 children. Her sincere heart and all of her sacrifices and love will be forever cherished by her family, especially her 3 children as it was an honor to have her as a mother.
Throughout her lifetime, Vilma loved real estate, worked in Medical Billing, and at the later part of her life, proved that it is never too late to follow your dreams. At the age of around 55, Vilma Suarez established a Wedding Planning Business called Cherished Ceremonies in Tampa. Cherished Ceremonies became a very successful and popular wedding planning business in the area. She has provided countless beautiful wedding ceremonies and receptions to her clients with memories that will last lifetimes. After accumulating hundreds of 5 star reviews and many awards, Vilma truly established a legacy that her entire family is endlessly proud of. Vilma's ability to dream and accomplish her goals even through hard challenges is an everlasting testament and an inspiration for all.
Vilma was a sincere friend to many. She was kind, always willing to help, and cheerful. She loved music, loved to dance, and loved to laugh. Above all else, she loved her family with her whole heart, including her son (Michael Garcia), her daughters (Michelle Suarez and Christine Suarez), her partner (Carlos Suarez), and her grandsons (Manny Garcia and Marco Sanchez). Thank you, Vilma for every lesson and showing us what love truly means. Vilma Suarez will forever be cherished and loved. We carry her love in every moment.
