Victor Taormina's Obituary
Victor Taormina passed away on April 23, 2025 with his loving wife of 38 years, Cece, by his side.
Born Vitale Taormina on November 2, 1948 in Tampa, Florida, Victor was the only child of Gaetano “Guy” and Pauline Taormina. He graduated from Hillsborough High School and the University of South Florida, working as a social worker for the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners before retiring in 2010. He and Cece were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1986.
Victor was well known for his dry sense of humor. He valued his friendships and was devoted to his family. In his free time, Victor loved to play golf, go hunting and fishing, smoke cigars, and relax in front of the television. He also loved fast cars and classic rock music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Pauline Taormina, and his in-laws Anibal and Elsa Cancio. He is survived by his wife Cecilia “Cece” Taormina, cousins Deanna “Dede” Unsworth, Randee Valenza (Jason), Frank Santafemia (Audrey), Mark Santafemia (Caridad), and Sheila Santafemia (Anna), brother-in-law Tony Cancio, nephew Antonio Cancio (Mandi), his grandnieces Rylie and Harper and grandnephew Kashton who loved and cherished their Zio, and Godchildren Eddie Ether and Brianna Hill who will always remember their beloved Godfather/Nino.
Victor will be deeply missed by his family, both biological and chosen, and his many friends.
