Mrs. Valthea Beady Pelaez's Obituary
Valthea Beady Pelaez, 87, was born January 21, 1923 in Orlando, Florida. Long time resident of Tampa, Florida went home to be with her Lord on August 24, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Alice Ann Fakess; John Fakess, Eileen Rubillo, son, Anthony Pelaez and daughter Verna Pelaez. Survivors include, siblings, Anthony, Mary (Dan), Pete (Margie) and Barbara; children, Jeanne (Al), Felix, Michael (Olivia), Rhee (Debbie), Eileen , John, Alice Ann, Luz, Toy (Olga); 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Valthea Pelaez established Park-A-Tot Daycare Center in 1953 and touched the lives of many children. Her motto was There's always room for one more; she opened her heart and home to everyone. She passed her knowledge, wisdom and wit to anyone who wanted to hear it.
Through the years, she served the community as a volunteer in many organizations such as PTA, Gray Ladies, Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, March of Dimes and many others.
She accomplished her dream of raising all her children and to travel around the world. She was a long time member of Tampa Bay Community Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28th at 11:00am, at the House of Hope, 4320 W. Bay to Bay Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33629. A celebration of Beady's life will be held from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at American Legion Post #5, 3810 W. Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33609.
In lieu of flower, donations can be made to Tampa Bay Community Church in her memory or a charity of your choice.
