Mrs. Thelma I. Hughes' Obituary
HUGHES, Thelma I., 97, of Tampa passed away May 16, 2008. Forever known to friends as Mama Hughes, to family she is our Grandma Pixie. Thelma graduated from Gordon Keller School of Nursing in 1931. Married her love, Tommy in 1930. Mama Hughes was a Registered Nurse and 3-11 nursing supervisor at St. Joseph's Hospital for 23 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years Thomas P. Hughes and son Michael T. Hughes. She is survived by her children; daughters Florence Meek and Margaret Sanchez, son Patrick C. Hughes; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, one great great grandson; nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends for Visitation Wednesday, May 21, 2008 between 1 and 2 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa.
