Dupell, Stanley T.
99, of Tampa, passed away March 10, 2023. He was born in Arnold, Pennsylvania on May 10, 1923, to the late Leopold and Stella Dupell. He is also preceded in death by his wife of (66) years, Mary Lou, brother, Edward, and sisters, Clara Ruskus and Agnes Kozlowski. He is survived by sons, Stan (Denise) and J.R. (Stacy), four grandchildren, Jack, Matthew (Jasmine), Greg, and Elizabeth (Ken) Campbell, two great-grandchildren, Hope and Kal, and many nieces and nephews.
In 1941, Stan graduated from Arnold High School and in 1943, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp, where he served in the Pacific. After WWII, Stan owned Dupell’s Meat Market and Grocery Store in Arnold, where he was a member of the Polish Falcons of America Nest 41 basketball team, a School Director, a basketball coach and a baseball coach. Upon his retirement in 1988, he moved to Tampa, Florida, to be with his family. He supported that family by attending every softball game, baseball game, football game, and gymnastics meet his children and grandchildren ever participated in. He was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church. His specialty on the grill was his family recipe for marinated flank steaks. Beloved patriarch for many years.
Friends will be received Monday, March 20, from 10 am to 12 pm, Funeral service at 12pm, at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa. Interment is at the National Cemetery at Bushnell at 2 pm.
