Sam Pullara's Obituary
PULLARA, Sam, 98, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 42 years, Mary; sons, Jim (Mary) and Sam (Sheila); step-daughters, Sharon Bell and Debbie Rotolo (Steve); 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Comparetto (Joseph) and Josephine Guadagnini (John). He was predeceased by his mother, Annie Saitta Salciccia; first wife of 33 years and mother of his sons, Marie Acosta Pullara; and step-son, Freddie Fernandez. Sam graduated from Hillsborough High School Class of 1939, served in the Army during WWII, had an exemplary 40 year career with Cargill Nutrena Feed Company and was a member of La Nuova Sicilia Unita Lodge 1251. Services will be held on Thursday, February 15, at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N Armenia Ave. Tampa. Visitation at 11 am, service at 11:30 am, with interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Thanks to the staff and caregivers at Brookdale Carrollwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seasons Hospice, or a charity of your choice. Sam was a loving husband who always doted on Mary. He will be remembered for his endearing love of family and friends, and great sense of humor. Salute to a life well lived!
