On Saturday, August 24, 2019, Rudolph Joseph Yannitte, loving husband, father of three daughters, two granddaughters, one grandson and 2 great grandchildren, passed away peacefully at age 87 while residing at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home for 10 years in Land O’Lakes, Florida.
Rudolph was born on February 12, 1932 in Hackensack, NJ, to Thomas and Genevieve Yannitte. He had two siblings, Gloria Webber married to Robert Webber (deceased) and Thomas Yannitte (deceased) survived by his wife Ruth Yannitte.
On March 12, 1955, he married Patricia Ann Guerry in Chaumont, France, where he was serving in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant since 1951. Rudolph and Patricia raised three daughters, Linda Stein, Julia Mathews (deceased) and Deborah Anderson.
Rudolph took his family to San Jose, California in June of 1965 where he started San Jose Scientific Company, Inc. He retired as President and CEO in 2000.
He loved his boats both in San Francisco and on Lake Harris in Florida. He was also an avid skier and loved Italian food. He loved family gatherings and would never miss a good party. He loved to joke and laugh. He adored his girls.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Linda and her husband Roger; their daughter Jennifer, and her husband Alex; their son, Andrew; and daughter Deborah Anderson and husband Joe. Also granddaughter Jessica Morgan and two great grandchildren, Kailea and Aukai.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2:30pm-4:30pm at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. Tampa, FL. A graveside ceremony will be held at the Veterans National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 2:30pm
