Rose V Spano's Obituary
SPANO, Rose V, 93, went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Spano and six siblings: Isabel Salas, Grace Shanahan, Lucy Arroyo, Evelio “Jimmy” Valdez, Joe Alpizar and Norma Jacobs. Rose is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Spano, sisters: Antonia “Colie” Martinez, Ofelia “Lita” Posada and Mary Venta; brother, Octavio “Johnny” Valdez; sister-in-law, Linda Alpizar, numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, and many friends. She was a Girl Scout leader at Villa Madonna School for almost 30 years, active at Mary Help of Christians Church and previously at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, November 5, at Mary Help of Christians Church, 6400 E. Chelsea St., Tampa. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. A reception will follow interment at Mary Help of Christians Church.
