Pete’s Place will never be the same. Bobby had such a deep passion for music and performing—it was a gift to have live music right across the street.
One of my last memories of Bobby was at my wedding. We chatted at the reception, and as he was heading out, he smiled and said, “Does an old guy still have a chance?” He always knew how to make me laugh.
You will be sorely missed, Bobby.

Sending My Prayers & Condolences for Bob & The Engelson Family…..Bob was Loved by many…..
I am a friend of his and enjoyed his company……I know Bob a long time ever since I started a Postal Bid at The Annex 25 years ago. I worked with Bob on the small parcel sorter and can remember doing songs on breaks with him, Wanye Forman and Others. It made it easier to get thru the night. Good times talking about everything & anything you can think about. Sure passed the time quickly and easily. Didn’t see him for a while after he retired but got back into contact with him after I retired……he still was writing songs and making funny one liners……he inspired me to keep practicing my guitar. And I have to add he was very friendly and never mean to anyone………Was visiting him these past 4 years and will miss him…..When you hit our age you realize Life is Shorter than you think…..
