Rigoberto Hernandez's Obituary
Rigoberto Hernandez, 97, born in Bauta, Cuba, formerly of Redington Shores, Florida, passed away in Glasgow, Kentucky on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the age of 97. He was a cigar maker for many years upon arriving to Tampa; later he worked for and retired from the Hillsborough County School System.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Silvina, his parents Florencia and Silvio Hernandez; two brothers, Mario and Carlos, and sister, Eneida Miguel. Rigo is lovingly remembered by his sons Nelson (Josie), Jose (Mayra); five grandchildren, Nelson (Joanna), David (Diana), Russell, Steven (Lorie) and Sergio; six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Haven (Alex Taylor), Logan, Dillon, Cailee and Carson; one great-great grandchild, Knox Taylor.
A wake will take place from 6 pm – 8pm, Thursday, June 15 and a funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday June 16, at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL. www.bozaroel.com
