Richard Dominick Penella's Obituary
Richard Dominick Penella, 81 of Tampa, peacefully passed away, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 28, 1939, in Passaic, New Jersey.
He was the Head of Maintenance and Athletic Director of Paterson Catholic School for over 25 years.
He was a very proud 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, as well as being very involved in the Catholic Community, amongst many other charities.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Genevieve Penella.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Natalia; he was the devoted father of Richard Penella (Idalmis), and Christina Taylor-Penella (Shawna); he loved his grandkids more than anything, Ricky, Alina, McKayla and Andrew; his younger siblings John Dennis Penella, Ronald Penella and Donna Penella-Raimondo.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, at Boza & Roel Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00am, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Grave Side Burial directly after at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Following the services, we will be gathering for Richard’s Repass at Dockside Condos.
