Richard C. Dei's Obituary
Richard Conrad (Dick) Dei, 77, died unexpectedly on July 27, 2017, following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Conrad A. and Regina (Tananis) Dei of Pittsburgh, PA. He is survived by his wife, Sue, son Scott, daughter Cherie (Mike) Ward, brother Donald (Dona), stepsons William (Stephanie), Donald Dumelle and seven beautiful grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Dick was born on December 19, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Peters Township (The center of the universe). He was a highly successful contractor in various construction fields beginning his career with Ragner Brothers of Pittsburgh and Randolph Engineering of McMurray, PA. and then moved to Florida to continue his career. In his 55 years in construction he was a positive influence for many companies. Most considered him their most valuable asset and he was one of the last men standing. He retired in October 2016 from MWH Global.
Once you met Dick, he was hard to forget. He was authentic with a welcoming charm, wry wit, and athletic enthusiasm. Anyone who became his friend was a friend for life; in spite of distance or years. He was loved by the men and women he worked with, and a joy and inspiration to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Well done, Dickeroo!
