Raul Lopez II, age 87, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1938, in Havana, Cuba.
Raul built a life rooted in hard work, perseverance, and deep devotion to his family, spending many years in stucco construction through his business, R & L Plastering. He took great pride in his work and in the life he created for those he loved. He was known for his strength, resilience, and steady presence.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Prudie Lopez; his children, Raul Lopez III (Giovanna), Vanessa (Alex), Michelle, Keeli (Nick), Angel, and Rico (Victoria); and his sisters, Amparo Chavez and Marta Gonzalez. His mother-in-law, Conchita Pelt, and brother-in-law, Donald Pelt. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and whom he loved endlessly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedes and Raul Lopez, and his daughters, Isabelle (Randy) and Yvonne (Rob).
Raul will be remembered for his enduring love, quiet strength, and the strong foundation he built for generations to come. His legacy lives on in the family he so deeply loved.
A private remembrance will be observed by the family. May he rest in eternal peace in God’s loving embrace.
