I moved away from home 5 years ago. Growing up, I wanted to be just like Rickie, strong, smart and beautiful. For the past six months I've been trying to locate her phone number in several unpacked boxes. I felt an urgency to speak with her. I now know the reason. God was trying to let me know He was going to call her up to be with Him. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to speak with her. To tell her I missed and love her and to ask how she was doing. My dearest Rickie. You will be missed. You were our back bone of the whole family. I remember times going back and forth to the hospital. You would drill me, with everything all the the medicines you took, and what you were allergic to. I memorized everything, you would say to me, that's correct, now let's go inside. Lol. Rickie, my sister, I can’t believe you are gone. I knew your health issues but thought we had so much more time. This pain is unbearable. You were such a strong person and lived life your way. You always said what you meant and meant what you said. You were not a hypocrite and I loved that about you. i will have to deal with this pain in my heart until God calls me home and we can be together again in heaven. I will cherish the memories. Rickie was a very important part of our younger life. She was my sister-in-law for many years and we spent a lot of time together as our kids were growing up. She and Jack were two you needed to keep apart as they always had some high jinks going on. She was always ready for fun and loved life.

I can not think of a world were she is not present. A Family loving lady. She will always be a part of my memories.
