Ramona V. Docobo's Obituary
DOCOBO, Ramona V., 87, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba and was raised in Lugo, Spain where she eventually met and married Ramon F. Docobo, MD. They were married for 42 years before his death in 1995. Seeking a better life for their family, they emigrated to Tampa in 1960, where they raised their 4 sons. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be missed greatly. She is survived by her sons, Angel J. Docobo (Celia), Jose M. Docobo (Vivian), Albert N. Docobo (Lynn) and Ramon H. Docobo (Marisella); grandchildren, Angel T. Docobo, Victoria Docobo, Vincent Docobo, Felipe Docobo (Caroline), Danielle Docobo-Eichmann (Matt), Kristen Docobo, Julia Docobo, Ramon A. Docobo, Monica Docobo and Cristian Docobo; adopted daughter, Lola Jorda; adopted sister Jesusa Paz; great-grandchildren, Ava Eichmann and Emily Eichmann; brother, Jose Alonso Flores; brother-in-law, Manuel Docobo Fernandez and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends for Visitation, Monday, January 23, 2017 between 10 and 11 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, followed by Mass and Entombment at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers include her grandsons, Felipe, Ramon, Angel, Cristian, and Vincent, along with Froilan Salgado. Honorary pallbearers include Juan Salgado and Juan Rañon. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Lawrence Church in her memory. Acknowledgements to Life Path Hospice and Fairway Oaks Center for the wonderful care that they gave her.
