Ramon Rodriguez's Obituary
Ramon Rodriguez, 94, of Los Palacios, Pinar del Rio, Cuba, passed peacefully in Tampa, Fl on February 20, 2025.
He was born on July 18, 1931, in Cuba to Gregorio and Juana Maria Rodriguez. At the age of 18 he joined the Cuban Air Force and served proudly until 1959 when the communist regime took over.
In 1959 he married Hilda Suarez and became the proud parents of Ramon Alberto Rodriguez in 1960. In June of 1960 he came to the United States and resided in Tampa, Fl to make a better life for his beloved family.
Ramon worked tirelessly to provide for his family until 2020, making lasting friendships along the way. All lives that were touched by Ramon experienced the joy of his laughter, and love of life. He was at his best visiting with friends, going to the beach, traveling, watching baseball and of course dancing the night away on the weekends.
Ramon is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Rosalia, and brother Roberto. He is survived by his son, Ramon Alberto Rodriguez and wife Alida, grandson Orlando Rodriguez, sisters Juana Maria (Kuka) and Dulce and brother Victor.
Visitation is on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Boza-Roel. Church services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00am with internment to follow.
