He was a wonderful neighbor. He always shared stories of his business achievements, vacation trips, and his family. He always gave us Christmas cards and my children birthday cards each year. My parents, Ted and Maxine Kenyon lived next door to the Van Fleets since 1970. My youngest sister was just learning to talk when we moved in. She couldn't say, "Van Fleet" she always called him, Mr. Ugh. and his wife was Mrs. Ugh. He will be greatly missed.
I've heard it said that we know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
