My mother's oldest brother was a proud veteran.
Uncle Phillip and I often spoke of Hawai'i, where I currently have lived for many years, and where he visited once during WW II.
He was a humble and honest man.
He is now happily reunited with the love of his life (Aunt Jenny), my parents (Tony and Carmen Manali), his younger brother (Joe and Dora Caltagirone), his father and mother, (Alfonso and Angelina) Caltagirone.

Philip was always ready for fun and adventure. We celebrated his last birthday at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City as a tribute to his lifelong accomplishments and generosity to a place where he was born and raised. Rest in peace Philip.

Mr.Phillips, as his friends in Zumba Class called him, was always so loving to everyone who met him. We took Mr. Phillips many places, he was always ready for an adventure. So off we would go: a visit to his 100 year old home on Anna Maria Island after the family renovations, St. Pete Bay Pines Cemetery for the Veteran's Day parade, The 4th of July Parade and The Christmas Golf Cart Parade in Temple Terrace, The New Year's Eve Firework Celebration at the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club, and his 100th Birthday celebration at Zumba class at Temple Terrace Lightfoot Recreation Center. We enjoyed sharing our times together.
