Pedro Menendez's Obituary
Menendez, Pedro F., 96, born April 19, 1918 in San Juan y Martinez, Cuba. Preceded in death by his wife Emilina, she was the love of his life, his son Pedro Gabriel, parents Pedro and Cristina, brothers Salvador and Francisco and sister Conchita. He is survived by his sons Eloy "Henry" Menendez, Juan Menendez, niece Eneyda (Cheo) Pelaez, nephews Hernan (Oraida) Vento, Eduardo (Olga) Vento, Alejandro (Maribel) Vento, Martin Rodriguez, Grandson Jose Enrique (Sylvia) Pelaez, Yuselin Vento and special grandniece Ivis Vento, cousin Chiquitica Portilla and various other relatives. Very special friends Pedro, Nine, Rogelio, Leticia, Delia, Farah and many others. Pedro was a tobacco grower, but above all he was a loving husband and the best father three sons could ever have. His smile, his gentleness, his sense of humor and his kind heart will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 25, 2014, from 6 to 8 PM at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa, FL. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 North Himes Avenue, Tampa, FL. Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Spanish Prayer Group, in memory of Pedro Menendez.
