I’am deeply sorry to learn about the passing of “Cherry”, someone I’ve known since my pre teen years. Losing someone we’ve known for so long can be incredibly difficult, especially when you’ve come to know her kindness and warm personality on a personal level on numerous occasions when visiting her home.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know that our thoughts are with her family and friends during this emotionally challenging time.
May you find comfort in the fond memories you shared and the love that surrounds you, and may her beautiful Spirit Rest In Peace.
When I lived in NY in the early '70's I would often visit with my cuz Junior and his family. His wife fondly called by her pet name 'Cherry' will always greet me with her big gregarious and beautiful smile. Cherry was a gifted cook and I always looked forward to a Christmas or Thanksgiving breakfast or dinner. The Smith's household was always welcoming with Cherry as the matriarch of her family. Cherry will be missed by all who knew and loved her warm and friendly personality. May she RIP...my prayers and thoughts are with the family.

My sincere condolence to the Smith family on the passing of Cherry. May your faith in the Creator of the Universe be a source of comfort at this time. She was a wonderful soul.
I remeber when we came to New York to see Cherry and family, and we had to buy a Chip Pan to make English Chips. for Me and the faimily
My memories of Aunt Cherry are pulled from my childhood. Coming to New York for summer vacations with my mom, Cissy and hanging out with my cousin Junior, Cherry and their family. When I think of Cherry , I think of her warmth, her smile, her hugs and of course her cooking. You can never go to the Smith’s residence and not get some good home cooking and that was courtesy of Cherry’s gifted hands. Rest in peace sweet Cherry. May God wrap his arms around your family during this difficult time.
Love Andrea and the McFarlane family.
How do you say goodbye to the dearest of friends. Cherry, we have known each other since our teenage years in high school (Saint Andrew Technical High School). We have laughed and cried and hugged and consoled and encouraged and loved and shared a lifetime of friendship together. Friends like you are very rare and very very hard to find. We will never forget your warm smiling face and the wonderful years we spent growing, maturing and sharing. The memories will remain with me forever.
Some one said, "A great friend is something to be cherished, whether they remain by my side in this life or wait for me in the next." Girlfriend, hope to see you in Heaven when my time comes. I feel comforted knowing you are now home safe in the arms of Jesus. Rest In Peace my dear friend.
