Orquidia "Alice" Gonzalez's Obituary
Orquidia “Alice” Gonzalez peacefully passed away on January 13, 2019.
A native of Tampa, Alice was born on August 28, 1942. She graduated from Jefferson Highschool in 1960.
Alice worked for Robert “Bob” Cochran of McFarlene Ferguson Law firm for 35 years. She was a member of the Spanish Lyric Theater and many other organizations.
Alice was a loving mother, Abuela,aunt, sister, cousin and friend. She always had words of encouragement, wisdom and comfort — and she always let you know where you stood with her.
Alice is survived by her children, Edward, and Alicia Gonzalez Bassett and her husband Adam.
She also leaves behind her beloved grandsons, Carter & Cooper Bassett, granddaughter Kaileigh Ellesse, and her sisters, Yolanda Galvez and Rita Palmeiro.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Faustino & Natalia Gonzalez; her brother, Faustino Gonzalez Jr. and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Centro Asturiano De Tampa 1913 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, Florida from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
