Mrs. Olga M. Romeo's Obituary
ROMEO, Olga Marenco, 91 passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 with her husband Walter at her side. A proud native of Ybor City she was the daughter of Italian and Spanish immigrants who settled in Ybor City in 1901. She was the youngest of five children born to Alejandro and Leonore Marenco. Olga and Walter travelled to many countries throughout their lives together but Olga's heart was always in Tampa. Olga found joy in cooking and serving wonderful Italian meals to her family and was known for her giving and loving spirit. She was the happiest in the presence of her family members, who loved her dearly. Olga will be missed by her family but the precious memories of her smile and laughter will be forever cherished. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Walter E. Romeo, Sr., her daughter, Loretta and husband Peter Caporice, her daughter Audrey Fechner and her son Walter P. Romeo and wife Sara, 7 grandchildren, Yvette Dubaj, Peter Samuel Caporice, Lisa Shafer, Ryan Fechner, Walter Dante Romeo, Paul Romeo, Chloe Romeo and 3 great grandchildren, Nicholas Dubaj, Savannah Shafer and Lauren Shafer. Catholic funeral services will take place at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL with visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
