Olga Maria Oliva's Obituary
Olga Maria Benavides Oliva, 98, of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Olga was born in Matanzas, Cuba and came to the U.S. in 1960. She lived in Lakewood, NJ and Bloomfield, NJ for many years before moving to Tampa in 2019.
She worked as a hospital billing clerk at St. Michaels Medical Center in Newark, NJ for 10 years before retiring in 1976. Olga enjoyed spending time with her husband Raul and her family. She had a passion for cooking and spending her quiet time reading. She was a devoted Catholic who had the love of the Blessed Mother Mary.
She was predeceased by her parents Francisco and Laudelina Benavides, her husband of 67 years, Raul and her sisters Elena, Casas and Bertha De Rojas.
She is survived by her son Raul and his wife Martha and her daughters Maria Alvare and her husband Manny; Olga Cerefice and her husband James; and her eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 14 at 12:00 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Tampa, Florida.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her honor.
