Manuel And Prescilla Vigil
Marsha, North Jr, Keith, and Deidre,
We were so sad to hear about North. Your family was a big part of our lives in White Rock over the years as our children grew up together and North and I worked together in the computing area. After retirement, we were always blessed when you came to New Mexico and visited with us as well as when we enjoyed your hospitality when we visited North and Marsha in Florida. We will always have fond memories of North and the entire family, as we shared many Vigil and Carey celebrations.
As part of computing we traveled to the UK for meetings and enjoyed seeing the city and country side together. Great memories. We will always cherish the memory of North and Marsha going with us to visit the Ribera/El Pueblo/Villanueva area where Manuel grew up and laughing together as we shared childhood memories. I will also remember the "Over 30 basketball league" that we both played on. North even got to teach one of our sons, Dominico, the art of fencing. Thank you.
North was a great person and was always willing to help or share expertise and kind words. He loved tinkering with computers and was also very proud of his classic car! Conversation with North was easy and could go on for hours. After retirement, North was always eager to find out the state of computing at LANL and in general. In fact the last time we saw North and Marsha in June we talked at length about the progress and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today's world. We will all miss his friendly smile and easy conversations.
Marsha, North Jr, Keith and Deidre, we are so sorry for your loss and the difficult time you are going through. Just remember that North was so proud of each one of you and loved you all very much. North was a great man, someone you can be proud of forever. May he rest in peace. We will remember him fondly.
