Noemi Josefa Ford, 87 of Decatur, IL, formerly of Tampa, FL passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services to celebrate Noemi’s life will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the chapel of Boza & Roel Funeral Home, Tampa, FL. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Boza & Roel. Noemi will be laid to rest next to her husband 1:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Noemi was born on June 23, 1930 in El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras Central America, a daughter of Angelita Andino (de Moya) and Esteban Moya Nolasco. She worked as a legal secretary in Honduras. Noemi enjoyed sewing and making jewelry and was an avid doll collector having a collection of over 900 dolls. She married Jewel Lamar Ford on December 1, 1968. He passed away on September 25, 2008.
Surviving are her devoted daughter Marbella (Robert) Marsh of Decatur, stepson - Glen (Millie) Ford of Tampa, three sisters- Melba Moya de Romero of Tampa, Angelina Moya Ford of Brandon, Eloisa Moya of El Progreso, Yoro, Honduras, grandchildren - Stephen (Cindy) Lindsay and Jay (Christine) Lindsay, step-grandchildren - Molly Marsh and Patrick (Andrea) Marsh, great-grandchildren - Kaylynn Lindsay, Alyssa (Timothy) Reif, Jacob Lindsay and Austin Lindsay and step-great-grandchildren- Benjamin and Kayla Knöpher.
Noemi was greeted in Heaven by her parents, husband and one brother - José Esteban Moya.
