Nina Maria Vazquez's Obituary
Vazquez, Nina Maria, age 97, passed away on January 22, 2021. Leaving to mourn her are her four devoted children: Charles Stanley and wife, Cynthia; Kathy Escobio and husband, Anthony; Danny Vazquez and wife, Frances; Anna Spicola and husband, Russell. Grandchildren: Ernie and Joseph Stanley; Anthony D. Escobio and wife, Kathleen; Eric Escobio and wife, Abby; Daniel Vazquez and wife, Rebecca; Lauren Marie Vazquez; Rusty Spicola and wife, Rayanne. Great grandchildren: Andrew, AJ, Ava, Emery and Jake Escobio; Nolan and Mason Vazquez; Natalia Spicola. She also leaves behind many other relatives and dear friends. At 17, Nina came from Cuba on an academic scholarship, to St. Mary's University in Kansas. There she obtained her degrees in both Music and Elementary Education. She played piano in some very well-known hotels in Miami Beach, for several years. After moving to Tampa, she taught school for 26 years. After retirement, she worked part time at St. Joseph's Hospital. After retiring a second time, she was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital for 21 years. She was pre-deceased by both of her spouses: Charles S. Stanley and Ernest M. Vazquez. A private memorial service will be conducted at St. Lawrence Catholic Church where it will be live-streamed for everyone to participate. At her request, her body will be cremated and ashes distributed in the ocean. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Nina Vazquez.
