DiMaggio, Nick (Coach), Tampa native and longtime Athletic Director at Tampa Catholic High School, passed away July 18, 2018, from complications relating to a stroke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Antoinette Di Read Obituary
Rest in Peace Nick. We are so thankful that you were a part of our lives. We will miss you "witty" personality and your infectious laughter. You left us with so many wonderful memories and we often find ourselves laughing as we remember the good times we shared and even though we laugh we also have a tear in our eye as we miss your zest for life. Your lifelong friends.

Nick was always so nice; he always had a smile on his face when he would greet someone.

Coach DiMaggio made an immediate, direct and positive impact on my life and many others who attended Tampa Catholic High School (TC) during his decades of service and commitment to TC. throughout the years, I would often see and chat with him at TC sporting events and at one of our favorite restaurants, Pach's. I will never forget our first meeting when I was a freshman at TC. He gather all freshmen boys in the multi-purpose room and said, "You all will get an F in PE if you do not join the track team at TC". We were stunned ...Needless to say, we all join joined the track team and we won many competitions. he was a tactical coach who hated losing. He was the biggest supporter of youth sports at TC of all time. He will be most remembered, to me, as the greatest, most loyal Crusader ever. J. Ransom
