Mrs. Myrtle Christine Russ King's Obituary
KING, Myrtle Christine Russ, 74, passed away on December 5, 2010. She was born in Willow, Florida, on February 23, 1936. She was fondly known as "Christine" and was survived by her loving daughters Windy Gail King Ciccarello and husband Sam Frederick Ciccarello, Leslie Christine King and Virdie Desiree King Alfieri and husband Michael Kevin Alfieri, grandson Michael Giancarlo Alfieri (who affectionately called her "Meemaw" and "you're my #1"), brothers Gene and Charles Russ, sister Martha Young, cousin Ronald Mullins, our father Thomas McRae King and his wife Patti King. She was preceded in death this year by her very special long-term friend and dance partner Raymond Roy, Sr. Christine was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside and she devoted her life, time and energy to her children and grandson. She loved us dearly and lovingly prepared fabulous meals for us. Mama was known as a classy, beautiful woman to all who knew her. Her church family loved her. She often expressed that she was not afraid of dying because of her faith and would quote Psalm 23 periodically. We are grateful for this knowledge and know we will see her again. Her passion in life was dancing and one of her favorite songs by Lee Ann Womack was "I hope you dance". Mama, we know you're dancing in Heaven. We love you! A celebration of her life will take place at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, FL. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10AM to 12 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers include: Gene, Charles, Dennis, Craig and Chris Russ and Dave Sawyer. Honorary pallbearers include: Thomas McRae King, Sam Frederick Ciccarello, Michael Kevin and Michael Giancarlo Alfieri, Ronald Mullins, Chuck Russ and Allen Frier. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Boza & Roel Funeral Home
