Michael L. Manconi,
Age 92, passed away Saturday September 26, 2015 in Tampa, Florida. He was born September 6, 1923 in NY. Michael was a GM1 and WWII Veteran serving in both the United States Navy and Coast Guard. He retired Civil Service with SATCOM, Ft Monmouth, NJ. In 1979 he along with his wife and three youngest daughters moved to Tampa, Florida where he learned to fly and enjoyed being a recreational pilot taking any of his family & friends brave enough to enjoy the view. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 61 years Joan Edith Manconi and his brothers Anthony and James Manconi. Survivors include his beloved and dedicated wife Suzanne and sister Marie Mutolo. He was a devoted Father to his children George (Joyce) Manconi, Loretta (Bill) Baran, James (Linda) Manconi, Joan (David) Greco, Rose (Adam) Manconi-Roush and Michele (Johnny) Robinette. His zest for life was through his Grandchildren Elizabeth Caron, Jennifer Kontopodias, Michael (Jenine) Baran, Angelo (Sherilyn) Greco, Stephanie (Andy) Moore and Tyler Robinette; and great-grandchildren Natali, Savanah and Olivia Caron, Liam and Kinley Baran; and many nieces and nephews. Private services are being arranged for the family. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael’s name to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer Association.
